Earthquake

The day after the new road into Yamakoshi opened, the area suffered two shocks as a result of the Kanazawa earthquake. The last one 10 minutes ago as we were preparing these posts!
No damage and no problems so far with the koi.

Happy group first day in the mountains

Snow in Manchester

Half and inch of snow in Manchester closed the airport, delayed our flight, missed our connection to Tokyo, caused us to have a brief overnight stay in Paris with only a little sleep before catching the morning flight to Tokyo, arriving in Tokyo 6am Tuesday morning a little worse for wear. After a good nights sleep we are now raring to go and will report our first day in the mountains this evening.
